We've had him out once or twice, to the park and down to the Junction, and we enjoy getting out of the house. It's nice having Granny & Granddad here as well, because as early as it is in our tenure as parents, we're already planning on making use of the free babysitting to have a night out before they leave for home.
This weekend was the Foodies Festival at Battersea Park - something similar to Bits 'n Bites in Richmond. We were quite tempted to go check it out as a family, but admission was a bit steep. So, now that summer seems to have arrive in London once again (it's been a steady 22º all week, with nothing but blue sky or high white cloud), we've been taking to our garden. It's great to sit out back and bask in the sun and warmth, but also to know that anything you need for the baby (read: nappies!) is just inside. And I am now the proud owner of a charcoal grill and have been learning how to grill all over again - the coals are very different from gas - but it really makes it feel like summer when you BBQ, and the smell of the charcoal is something you just can't replicate. I hope that this sunshine lasts a long, long time. So all in all, it's a pretty special time right now.
We're working on a picture sharing site for Chris, and will post details about that once it's up.
I'm loving fatherhood!! Cheers.
