We were really happy for some very special visits that were truly firsts for us. Chris got to meet his great grandparents in Ontario for the first time. We went to Lindsay to meet Great Grandma & Great Grandpa Imrie, and had small reunion of sorts; Uncle Craig & Aunt Barb Imrie came, and so did their two daughters and family - Tanya, Anita, Morgan, Kayla, and Bradon. We rode up there with Auntie Ann & Uncle John, and had a wonderful lunch with everyone. The next morning we had a lunch with Great Nana & Great Grandpa Carruthers. It was a wonderful visit at Auntie Barb & Uncle Dave's house, and we were so happy that Chris was able to meet so many of our extended family in Ontario.
Back in Richmond, we were able to have a dinner and meet Ryan Ireland for the very first time, which was quite special. The little guy was three months old when we finally got to say hello, and he's extremely cute! We also met another baby for the first time, and that was little Zachery Karim! Zack was born to Farouk & Sheena just a week earlier, so was super tiny - and Sarah's and my guesses were confirmed when we met Zack - Farouk & Sheena make beautiful babies! What a little cutie he was, and we were so lucky to be there at just the right time to meet him!
Now that we're back, we can reminisce about being at home, but it's nice to be back and to feel settled once again. We've had about as much of a summer as everyone back in Vancouver - which basically means it's been non-existent so far. We haven't had too much rain of late, but it's certainly not been very sunny. That's all we're hoping for now! Chris has made the move into his big-boy bed, and has taken to it very well. I am a bit jealous in a way. This kid is now sleeping in a double bed before the age of two, and i had to wait until my twenties and I had moved out to leave my single bed behind!
Well, now that we're up to date, I'll sign off and we'll talk again soon! ~Bryan
